The overarching reason that Big Bay is now a highly sought-after area and considered one of the safest suburbs along the Western Seaboard, it that residents hold a secure advantage whilst enjoying this type of lifestyle as they are automatically part of an Umbrella association called the BBMPOA (Big Bay Master Property Owners Association).  A small annual levy payable by each homeowner goes straight back into the Big Bay community.  Our gardens on both side walks and traffic circles are beautifully maintained, replanted and kept hydrated.  The Association has partnered with Star Alarms for off site monitoring and patrols using Black screen technology and connectivity to all guard houses at each of the complexes in the area.  Our suburb and spectacular beaches and beachfront are kept clean and tidy from litter by a dedicated team. The BBMPOA has installed a fibre network throughout the area which is expanding monthly into the various individual Security Estates and Complexes providing cost efficient network connectivity to residents as well as connecting the various guard houses to improve security.

There are cameras positioned throughout the area which are monitored by Star Alarms and the various private security companies contracted by individual estates and complexes.  Big Bay, for this reason will remain to be one of the safest areas on the Western Atlantic Seaboard which naturally attracts both buyers due to moves away from the City and into the suburbs or those Semigrating to the Western Cape (another upward trend noted in the latest LightStone reporting).
